Sasa Show 2008 - Raaz
Diwali Puja and Garba with Bhav Bhakti
To celebrate the Hindu Festival of Lights Bhav Bhakti will organize the annual Diwali Puja , after which SASA will organize an awesome dinner and garba party! The technicalities of Garba will be taught for those who have no idea what it is – and later there will be open garba and dandiya raas time for all to enjoy. Attire will be fancy – all out lahengas and kurta pajamas if you have them, if you don’t, never fear, skirts and pants work too – but its fun to be colorful and dress up! So, if you can, do it!

Utsav: a fesitval
October 13th 9:00 pm- 1:00 am - Reynolds Club, Hutch
Geared towards incorporating first years and returning members, Utsav is our ‘celebration’. We are organizing a desi fair (mela) complete with authentic South Asian games and competitions, chat stalls (as in bhel puri, not casual conversation), booths for mehendi and merchandise, music, performances and a dance floor! Dress up in desi clothes, but something comfortable that you can still have fun in (for example, girls you might want to go with a salvaar kameez, and guys maybe a kurta and jeans)… so remember to pack these things before you arrive on campus!
